This was the result of his birth father daimyō kagemitsu daigō forging a pact with 48 sealed demons so that he might rule the land and increase its wealth and prosperity.
Dororo hyakkimaru. Before the 2019 series aired those unfamiliar with the manga or earlier anime adaptations might have presumed from the preview and trailers that the name of the protagonist of dororo would be dororo. He is a ronin searching for parts of his body that were stolen from him by demons and slaying said demons. To aid his conquest of japan the ruthless lord daigo kagemitsu offers to sacrifice his soon to be born son to 48 demons.
However the ronin s name proved to be hyakkimaru while dororo was the little child who stuck to his side for the entire series. Dororo revolves around a rōnin named hyakkimaru 百鬼丸 and young orphan thief named dororo どろろ during the sengoku period the rōnin was born malformed limbless and without facial features or internal organs. Hyakkimaru asks why he wants to drown the kid the man explains that the child s name is dororo and how he is a menace and a thief.
As the man continues to try drowning dororo hyakkimaru comments that he hears the spirits of the dead coming. Hyakkimaru 百鬼丸 hyakkimaru is the main protagonist of the dororo series. The demons accept and the next day the child is born with several missing limbs and is ruthlessly.
